Enlisted 8-18-1861 The North-West, Wednesday, October 21, 1863: Peter Shasteen, Co. D, 14th Ohio Regiment, son of Mr. James Shasteen of this township died in hospital at Nashville, Tennessee on the 28th alt from a wound received at the late battle of Chickamauga. His is highly spoken of by his officers as a brave and efficient soldier. |
