11/30/2005 The Toledo Blade Carolyn S. Proudfoot, 69, of West Toledo, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2005, at Northwest Ohio Hospice in Perrysburg. She was born August 22, 1936, in Toledo and was the daughter of Floyd and Virginia (Dennie) Wittman. Carolyn was a 1954 graduate of DeVilbiss High School, a lifetime member of Augsburg Lutheran Church and a member of the Metroparks Wildwood VIP's volunteer. Carolyn was employed by Owens-Illinois, AP Parts, and retired from Medicare Equipment Supply. She then worked as a medical records clerk at the Pharmacy Counter, where she also retired. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, E. David Proudfoot, whom she married on September 15, 1962 and was a loving mother to her son, Eric Proudfoot. She is also survived by her brother, Dennie (Mary) Wittman; step-father, Robert Hardesty; nephews, Keith (Phillis) Kuba and Matthew Wittman; nieces, Mary Ann (Keith) Ward and Michelle Wittman and her brother-in-law, William J. Leddy. She was preceded in death by her parents and twin sister, Marilyn L. Leddy.Friends are invited to visit from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Reverend Chris Mathey will officiate. Interment in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions, in memory of Carolyn, may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Augsburg Lutheran Church, Lucas County Metroparks or the Toledo Museum of Art.
