| Note | After her mother died and her father remarried, Eunice was raised by an aunt named Annie Garland. She emigrated to Canada with family members at age 9. Eunice had epilepsy, and lost three of her children as infants as a result of the medicine she had to take. Ultimately she died following the birth of William, a son later adopted by another couple. |
