| Note | Working hypothesis: Absolom is assumed to be John's father: (1) Anderson maps of 1856 & 1869 show Absolom property; then 1884 map shows same property belonging to John H. Jones. (2)1880 census says John's father born in VA; mother from OH. 1870 census says Absalom from VA & Catherine from PA. Indirectly related: The maps back to 1847 show an Israel Jones property in Anderson - is this Absolom's brother? (John has a son named Israel; named after his uncle?)
