Other information: Miscellaneous: Since Chastain is sometimes spelled Shasteen, I thought you might be interested in the fact that James Beaver of Ross County, Ohio married Nancy Shasteen (Chastain) also of Ross County and migrated to Logan County, IL about 1853 or so. They are buried in Lucas Chapel Cemetery in Logan County. There is a story printed about them in the 1885 (I believe) history book. They had nine children, two of which married into my Linson line. ....... 28 Jul 2001 posting Marge Freitag marge16@alltel.net

Burial information: Source Logan Co Genealogist and article Picture is in History of Logan County 1982 by Walter James Hickey and book was never reprinted so cannot purchase unless we sometimes get one in extra. Anyhow Logan County History by Stringer 1911 CD is good and History of Logan County 1886 is good. James was born Jan 9, 1820 and died Nov 10, 1895 while Nancy died Nov 28, 1911. Lucas Chapel pretty low ground and not good to get to this time of year. These dates come from 1982 History book. Yes we would love to have picture of Azariah. I could scan page from 1982 with picture to send you if you want. Did you understand America Hickey second wife of Azariah? I have a bunch of obits to find right now but will look for Nancy Beaver d.
